LOCAL FRASER RIVER FRESH WILD CAUGHT SOCKEYE SALMON AVAILABLE STARTING THIS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20th THROUGH THE WEEKEND!
You may have already heard, there is a record summer run of sockeye salmon returning to the Fraser River! For the first time in seven years, our fishing boats will be harvesting some of these sockeye in our local waters and bringing the catch directly to the Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf and to our seafood-loving customers!
Our fish will be available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis this Wednesday, August 20th, through Sunday, August 24th, from 8am-2pm or until sold out each day. Further harvesting and selling opportunities will depend on daily government adjustments to run size and quotas. Stay tuned to our social media accounts for updates.
Averaging between 4 and 5 pounds per fish, their bright red flesh are prized to be enjoyed as sashimi and also cook up wonderfully in a pan, in the oven, smoked or - of course - as part of a summer BBQ!
Our live Dungeness crab will continue to be available for sale on a first come, first served basis on Saturdays, and Sundays from 8am-2pm, while supplies last each week.
Frozen products and roe are also currently available.
Thank you for supporting your local fishermen!

“THE LIVELIER THEY ARE, THE FRESHER THEY ARE AND THE BETTER THEY’LL TASTE!”
Our spot prawns are wild-caught, fresh from the sea. They go from our fishing vessel directly into your hands.

GET HOOKED ON SPOT PRAWNS
Compared to most prawns, the spot prawn is much firmer and crisper in texture, sweeter in taste (especially when eaten raw) and has a clean, cold ocean taste that separates it from all the rest.

PROUDLY CAUGHT BY LOCAL FISHERMEN
We are the product of multiple generations of fishermen, dating back to the pioneering days of the fishing industry both in Steveston and Wakayama, the location of Richmond’s sister city across the Pacific Ocean in Japan.
